Heisman List Headlined By Quarterbacks
As to be expected, the Heisman odds list is loaded with quarterbacks. Seven of the last eight and 12 of the last 14 winners have been quarterbacks. It’s certainly not impossible for a non-quarterback to win the award, former Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith did it in 2020, but it takes not only a phenomenal season but usually it will also require a bit of a down year from quarterbacks in general.
It’s no surprise to see the list headlined by Georgia’s Carson Beck and Texas’ Quinn Ewers. Both are veterans returning to teams with National Championship aspirations.
At +6000, Travis Hunter has the best odds of any defensive player in the country. Hunter, however, does play some wide receiver as well. The last defensive player to take home the most prestigious award in college football was Charles Woodson in 1997 of the Michigan Wolverines.
Things To Remember When Futures Betting
- Research: Look at team performance, player stats, injuries, and any other relevant factors before placing your bet.
- Bankroll management: Only bet what you can afford to lose, as futures bets tie up your money for a long time.
- Be patient: Enjoy the season as it unfolds, and hopefully, your bet pays off in the end!
