Chicago will have a more complete lineup tonight as most of the regulars that sat on Friday night will give it a go today. Still though, no Andre Drummond or Ayo Dosunmu, so it will still be a shorthanded squad. Today’s game is all about staying healthy. Just get through this one cleanly, and let’s get a few more days of rest prior to Wednesday’s Play-In Game
Sure I’m probably a prisoner of the moment, but I hope we get to see Adama Sanogo play some significant minutes today. He was wildly impressive against a bad and banged-up Wizards team with 22 points and 20 boards on Friday night. Today poses a much tougher test against one of the best teams in the East. Why not give him some more minutes again and see how he stacks up against a significant step up in competition? I hope Billy Donovan gives him that chance.
The Knicks are still playing for playoff seeding today, so we’ll be seeing them at full go. A win for them and a loss for the Bucks would vault New York into the second seed in the East. Not only that, but a win today gets them to 50 on the year and I’m sure that’s something Tom Thibodeau would like to accomplish. Milwaukee plays at Orlando today, so the Knicks jumping into the second seed is a very realistic possibility. In that one, a win for Orlando guarantees they avoid the Play-In game. Giannis Antetokounmpo will still be out for the Bucks.
