In the second game, Buffalo dominated with a 10-3 victory, fueled by a six-run fourth inning. Iowa struggled with 10 walks issued, marking their highest this season.

Tennessee starter Matthew Thompson struggled today after an impressive outing last week, giving up three runs on two hits and five walks while striking out five in five innings of work for the Smokies in a 6-3 loss to the Rocket City Trash Pandas. Walks plagued Thompson, a common barrier for him in his development trajectory with the White Sox. Haydn McGeary hit his second home run of the season for the Smokies in the losing effort.
