Well, we’ve been saying it all week, and it continues to prove true: Chris Morel is clearly breaking out of slump – slowly, but surely. And today’s 3-run homer is just the latest positive sign.

That homer wasn’t hit as far as it looked (390 feet according to Statcast), but because of the 40-degree launch angle it definitely earned the title of TOWERING.
Morel’s slash line is still underwater overall, but over his last 11.5 games, including today, he’s notched nine hits including two doubles and two homers, plus six walks , 11 strikeouts, and two stolen bases. And this, of course, is his second big homer of the series.
