Triple-A Iowa Cubs (16-14)
Boy, the Julio Teheran reclamation experiment in Iowa is not going well. Teheran started for Iowa on Thursday and was shelled for six runs (five earned) on 10 hits in three and two third innings of work. His ERA sits at a whopping 10.32 on the season. Thanks to Teheran’s miserable outing, the I-Cubs dropped Thursday’s contest with the Storm Chasers 9-6. Miles Mastrobuoni drilled a three-run home run and drove in four in total for Iowa on the evening.

High-A South Bend Cubs (8-16)
Jefferson Rojas was the story last night in a 2-1 loss to Lansing. Despite not getting any hits in his first three at-bats, he managed to come through in the ninth inning when hit a ball to right-center that fell for a hit. His hitting streak now stands at 17 games, which is the best in the Midwest League and High-A. This also ties the record for the South Bend Cubs team since they became a Chicago Cubs affiliate in 2015.
Rojas is now in the company of Eloy Jimenez (2016), Roberto Caro (2018), and Yohendrick Pinango (2022) for the best hitting streak mark. If he gets a base hit on Friday night at Jackson Field in Lansing, he will break the record.
