Round 1, Pick 22: WR Adonai Mitchell, Texas

Adonai Mitchell shows great promise as an X-receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft thanks to his impressive mix of size, athleticism, and technical ability when it comes to route running. While there is room for improvement, Mitchell’s overall skill set provides a solid foundation for growth at the professional level.

Round 2, Pick 50: S Tyler Nubin, Minnesota

Tyler Nubin stands out for his exceptional ball skills and instincts, making him a constant threat to quarterbacks. He can quickly read route concepts and has a ballhawk mentality, with impressive closing speed to disrupt passes. Nubin is versatile, able to cover receivers in the slot and contribute in run support as an alley-runner. However, he needs to improve his leverage and gap discipline in run defense, and his hip transitions can be delayed. While better suited for split-safety alignments, Nubin projects as a starting safety capable of making game-changing plays defensively.

Round 2, Pick 53: LB Edgerrin Cooper, Texas A&M

Edgerrin Cooper is a dynamic linebacker known for his explosive playmaking ability. He excels as the ‘MIKE’ in the Aggies’ defense, showing versatility to thrive alone or with a partner. Cooper’s downhill trigger and quick feet make him a force against the run, with impressive tackling skills and the ability to stack and shed blockers. He’s also effective as a blitzer, tallying 10 sacks in 2023. In coverage, he communicates well, maintains proper depth, and rarely gets beaten in man coverage. However, he can sometimes over-pursue and play a bit high, leaving him vulnerable to blockers. With room for improvement in strength and flexibility, Cooper has the potential to be a standout linebacker at the NFL level, particularly in aggressive defensive schemes.

Round 4, Pick 120: CB Cam Hart, Notre Dame

Cam Hart is a versatile corner who excels in both man and zone coverage. He has fluid athleticism and an explosive burst. In man coverage, he displays strong footwork and positioning, able to shadow receivers and break up passes effectively. In zone, he covers ground quickly and demonstrates good hands for interceptions. However, he occasionally struggles with confidence when his back is turned and needs to better utilize his length against the run. Overall, Hart is a skilled defender with refined techniques and athleticism.

Round 5, Pick 171: OT Walter Rouse, Oklahoma

Walter Rouse, a powerful lineman, may start at guard initially due to his strength but lacks agility for tackle. Effective at moving defenders in the run game but vulnerable to speed rushers in pass protection. With refinement, he could contribute as depth on the offensive line at the NFL level.

Round 5, Pick 172: QB Joe Milton III, Tennessee

Joe Milton III possesses exceptional arm strength, effortlessly launching passes over 60 yards with precision. His size and athleticism make him a dual threat, forcing defenses to account for his running ability. However, Milton struggles with touch and accuracy, often missing deep throws due to inconsistent mechanics. While he has the physical tools, his development as a passer remains a work in progress, making him a day 2/3 prospect with potential for improvement.

Round 6, Pick 210: Zion Logue, Georgia

Zion Logue, a product of Georgia’s strong defensive program, has been a reliable contributor despite modest stats. His upper body strength is a standout, allowing him to control opposing linemen effectively. However, he needs to improve shedding blocks to be more efficient as a run defender. In the passing game, he shows potential as a bull rusher but lacks a diverse set of moves. Nonetheless, his role in Georgia’s defense may have limited his opportunities to showcase his full pass-rushing abilities. Logue is seen as a developmental prospect who can add depth to an NFL defensive line room. With focused coaching, he has the potential to grow and contribute effectively at the professional level.
