No First-Round Pick for Houston in 2024
The Texans traded their first-round pick to the Vikings in March which leaves their first pick in the second round. With 9 total picks, the Texans will be focusing on key needs like offensive line depth as well as adding talent on the interior defensive line.
The team made a splash this offseason by trading for elite wide receiver Stefon Diggs to add another weapon for CJ Stroud. Also, they added Joe Mixon at running back.

Houston Texans 2023 Season Review
The Texans shocked the NFL in 2023 going from 3-13-1 to 10-7 and winning the AFC South Division Title. Rookie QB CJ Stroud was excellent as he threw for over 4,100 yards and tossed 23 touchdowns to just 5 interactions on his way to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Devin Singletary led the backfield with 898 yards and 4 rushing TDs while Nico Collins caught 80 passes for 1,297 yards with 8 touchdowns. TE Dalton Schultz had 635 yards receiving with 5 touchdowns.
On defensive, rookie Will Anderson Jr. had 7 sacks and 10 TFL in a campaign that earned him Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. Jonathan Greenard had 12.5 sacks to lead the pass rush while Blake Cashman led the linebackers with 106 tackles. Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. had 5 interceptions and 13 pass deflections in just 11 games for Houston.
