You Have to Watch the Chicago Bulls’ Schedule Release Video

The Chicago Bulls might not tip off their regular season until Oct. 25, but they just picked up their first win of the year. Schedule-release videos have become a massive deal around the sports world over the past few years, and the Bulls’ latest idea was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

In the nearly five-minute-long video, the Bulls put their own spin on an old-school Pokemon game. Things start off with the NBA Commissioner saying hello before Benny the Bull begins his adventure. Benny proceeds to walk around Chicago before entering the United Center, where he is swiftly challenged by Greg Popovich. The legendary coach draws his Wemby, which leads Benny to defeat the No. 1 overall pick with his iconic popcorn dump maneuver. Pssh, rookie.

We then get a quick jab at Cleveland before Benny has to challenge the commissioner (aka The Schedule Master), who sends out The Joker. Fortunately, Benny had Flight 8 in his pocket and pulled out the “Fly” and “stepback” move to take care of business. The Schedule Master wasn’t done there, however, as he then throws out his trusty Bron! Benny quickly turns to Deebo, whose pump fake, “Diar DeRozan” scream, and jumper proved to dethrone The King.

Every last detail is amazing, and I have to give a major shoutout to the Chicago Bulls’ creative team for coming up with this one. All right, enough talking, just watch it for yourself:

Also, if you haven’t gotten a look at the full regular season schedule yet, be sure to check it out here.
