The league officially revealed the 2024 NBA All-Star Game reserves on Thursday night.
Headling the Western Conference were superstars like Stephen Curry and Kawhi Leonard. Meanwhile, the Eastern Conference saw both Jalen Brunson and Donovan Mitchell get the nod after failing to receive the recognition in the starting five some believed they deserved.
All things considered, the most notable snub is likely Trae Young. The Atlanta star finished second in fan voting among Eastern Conference guards. However, fan voting only accounted for 50 percent of the voting total All-Star starters, and Young received far less recognition from the players and media that made up the remaining 50 percent.
Reserve voting is done strictly by coaches, so it’s clear that Young also hasn’t made much of an impression on many of the league’s leaders.
Other names that were left out include … Domantas Sabonis, De’Aaron Fox, James Harden, Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick White, and Jimmy Butler.
