We reportedly have our first trade of the NBA Draft! With the 8th overall selection in the 1st Round, the San Antonio Spurs selected guard Rob Dillingham out of Kentucky. According to Shams Charania of Stadium, however, Dillingham appears to be on the move to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In exchange for Dillingham, the T’Wolves are sending an unprotected 1st Round pick in 2031 as well as a protected 2030 pick swap. The Timberwolves are in search of their eventual successor to 37-year-old point guard Mike Conley, and Dillingham appears to be it. And honestly, it couldn’t be a more perfect situation for the talented but raw 19-year-old guard.
