On Friday afternoon, the Blackhwaks announced some exciting — and important — details surrounding the jersey retirement events celebrating the career of Chris Chelios.
The first and most important piece of information you need to know: the ceremony will begin at 3:10 on Sunday, Feb. 25. The game against the Red Wings that night — you know, Patrick Kane’s return — begins at 5. This is a little earlier than the Marian Hossa ceremony began, so make sure you’re at the United Center by about 2:45 to get to your seats on time.
Also a fun activation before that night — in fact, beginning tonight — the Blackhawks will have a Cheli’s Chili Pop-Up in the United Center Atrium for every home game this month (and there are plenty). They’ll also have some fun merch for Cheli’s Chili available and some unique merch for the jersey retirement, like they did for Hossa’s.
And, again, the ceremony will begin at 3:10 on Sunday, Feb. 25.
