On Thursday, USA Hockey announced the 46 players invited to their 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase, which will take place July 26-Aug. 3 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich. One of the players invited is Blackhawks forward prospect Oliver Moore.
Moore is one of ten players invited to the camp who were part of USA Hockey’s gold medal-winning team in last year’s tournament. The Blackhawks’ first-round pick (No. 19) in the 2023 NHL Draft, Moore produced 33 (9 goals, 24 assists) points in 39 games for the University of Minnesota as a freshman this past season.
There are 21 players on the invite list who are eligible for the 2024 NHL Draft, meaning there may be more future Blackhawks prospects included in the camp when it opens in five weeks. Among those players, I’m specifically interested to watch RHD EJ Emery and Adam Kleber and forwards Brodie Ziemer, Teddy Stiga and Max Plante.
