On Tuesday afternoon, the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto announced its induction class for this year. While I was disappointed to once again not hear Steve Larmer‘s name called, Blackhawks legend Jeremy Roenick is finally getting in!
Roenick was the 8th overall pick in the 1988 NHL Draft. He started his career with the Blackhawks and spent eight years in Chicago. He was a fabulous player while with the Hawks and he is still one of the best American-born scorers in NHL history.
Between the 1990-91 and 1993-94 seasons, Roenick was one of the most electrifying offensive players in the entire NHL. He scored 190 goals and had 411 points in only 327 games over those four seasons.
For his total career, Roenick scored 513 career regular-season goals in 1,363 games.
