The Chicago Blackhawks made three (3) picks in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft on Friday night. The third selection they made came at a cost; they traded both of the picks they had in the second round to move back up to No. 27

None — the Blackhawks trade picks No. 34 and 50 to Carolina to move up and select Marek Vanacker at No. 27 overall in the first round.
Third Round
No. 67 — Blackhawks’ own
No. 72 — from Ottawa (from the Alex DeBrincat trade)
Fourth Round
None — Chicago traded its 4th round pick to Tampa in the Brandon Hagel trade
Fifth Round
No. 138 — from Calgary (from the Ryan Carpenter trade)
Sixth Round
No. 163 — Blackhawks’ own
Seventh Round
None — Chicago traded its 7th round pick to Tampa Bay for the rights to Corey Perry
