The Blackhawks 2024-25 Schedule is OUT! (Let’s Break it Down)

On Tuesday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks released their full regular-season schedule for the 2024-25 season!

Here it is:

Blackhawks in October

The Blackhawks open their season with another four-game road trip, including the first game in the history of the Utah franchise on opening night. As I already noted, the home opener will include the last two No. 1 overall picks — Connor Bedard vs. Macklin Celebrini. Which is exciting — and must-see TV. They also get Connor McDavid and the defending Western Conference champion Oilers on the first Saturday night of the season.

The Blackhawks also have four division games in the first month of the season. Steven Stamkos and the Nashville Predators (sounds weird) visit the UC for the first time near the end of the month.

Blackhawks in November

There are four division games in November, including the first two games between Bedard and Brock Faber’s Minnesota Wild. The second game between the two is a matinee in Minnesota on Black Friday.

The Blackhawks play three road Saturday games, including two matinees in November. Patrick Kane will return for the fifth home game of the regular season as well.

Blackhawks in December

The Blackhawks will be home for a lot of December, with eight home games — including the Winter Classic (on New Year’s Eve this year) — to seven road games. Boston will visit the United Center, as will a (hopefully) healthy Adam Fantilli and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Blackhawks in January

The Blackhawks play nine home games in January to only four on the road — by far their most favorable month. Chicago starts the month with two of their first three home games against Original Six opponents — Montreal and the New York Rangers.

Faber and the Wild visit the United Center again near the end of the month.

Blackhawks in February

Because of the 4 Nations Face-Off, the NHL is going to be quiet in February this year. But the Blackhawks’ three home games in the month are sexy: McDavid’s Oilers, Stamkos’ Predators and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Blackhawks in March

With the trade deadline somewhere in February or early March, this month will be one to watch. The Blackhawks play nine home games, including two against Utah at the start end end of the month.

Blackhawks in April

Will the Blackhawks be a more interesting team in the playoff picture at this point? We’ll have to wait and see, but the schedule has them hosting only three of their final eight games in the regular season. We have to wait until the first full week of April to get Bedard vs. Sidney Crosby, and they’ll face each other twice in three days.
