As free agency slowly winds to a close before the Fourth of July, some folks have asked if/where the now-former Blackhawks have signed. In my Tuesday bullets, I included the first day’s results. Here those are again:
On Tuesday, two more now-former Blackhawks got deals done.
Colin Blackwell is headed to Dallas. He got a one-year NHL deal. Good for him. He was a solid guy in the room and a terrific teammate. I wish him the best.
And MacKenzie Entwistle got a one-year, two-way deal with the defending Stanley Cup champions in Florida. Again: good guy, great to talk to, worked his ass off. Wish him the best.
The remaining former Blackhawks without contracts:
Nikita Zaitsev has signed to return to Russia.
