NBA Announces New Documentary About Former Bulls Big Luc Longley

Another documentary about a Chicago Bulls icon debuts this week.

NBA Australia announced on Monday that former Bulls big man Luc Longley will tell his story in a four-part docuseries. The event will premiere on NBA dot com and the NBA App, and you can watch the short teaser trailer here:

An Australian phenom, Longley won three championships with the organization and had a 10-year NBA career. He arrived to Chicago during the 1993-94 season in a trade that sent Stacey King to the Minnesota Timberwolves. After appearing in just 55 games during the 1994-95 season and averaging 18.5 minutes per game, Longley took over as the starting center and played a significant role in Chicago’s second 3-peat.

For whatever reason, Longley’s story was largely left out of the Last Dance docuseries that aired back in 2020. Fans of Longley across the globe pointed out his absence, and his home country made sure to give him his flowers with his own hour-long documentary on Australia’s ABC network. Now, it appears the NBA is also ensuring that Longley gets the recognition he deserves for being one of the first Australians to enter the league.

With the calendar already turning to August 2nd in Australia, the full documentary is up on NBA dot com. The whole thing looks to be under an hour with each episode being roughly 13 minutes. You can find all four parts here. I’ll also link the ABC documentary from a while back just in case you’re left wanting even more Luc Longley content. Enjoy!
