Wake Up With A Bunch Of Matas Buzelis Highlights!

In case you missed last night’s NBA Draft, the Bulls actually had a good night!

Hometown dude Matas Buzelis, who just about everyone had projected to go in the top 10 if not top 5, fell down to the Bulls at the 11th overall pick. Arturas Karnisovas took the layup and drafted the local prospect who appeared to be truly and genuinely honored to be headed home to start his NBA career.

Matas Buzelis Highlights

Buzelis had a solid year for the G League’s Ignite last season averaging 14.1 PPG and 6.6 RPG on 44.5% shooting from the field. Eli got a chance to talk to him when the Ignite came to town for a matchup with the Windy City Bulls where he mentioned how much he loved Chicago’s passion for basketball. Well, he’ll certainly feel it even more now!

Anyway, we’ll analyze the pick, the player, the offseason and more in the coming days and weeks but for now let’s just get excited and start this beautiful Thursday morning in the greatest city in the world with some highlights of the newest Chicago Bull.

  • Plenty to go through here, but kicking things off with a game-winner is always fun. And yes, that is White Sox play-by-play man John Schriffen on the call. Surprised he didn’t hit Buzelis with a HINSDALE, STAND UP!
  • Here’s Buzelis in that game against Windy City a few months ago. His homecoming was one of his best games of the season dropping 24 points, grabbing 13 points and recording 4 blocks.
  • Sorry if there are a few repeats in these clips, but hey they’re highlights so its never a bad time watching some a couple of times.
  • Yes, I know it’s just one on one and in a workout, but here’s Buzelis going toe-to-toe with next year’s liklely first overall pick in a loaded draft class Cooper Flagg.
  • Matas Buzelis is the newest Chicago Bull
