Triple-A Iowa Cubs Prospects
The Iowa Cubs lost 6-3 in ten innings to the Columbus Clippers. Starter Thomas Pannone pitched well for five innings, allowing just one run on two hits. However, the I-Cubs took a 3-1 lead in the top of the tenth, only for Jose Cuas to blow the save and allow four runs. Right fielder Owen Caissie gave Iowa the lead with a two-run home run in the tenth, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Cole Roederer went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI single, and Bryce Windham also had one hit.
