Triple-A Iowa Cubs Prospects
The Iowa Cubs were shut out 2-0 by Indianapolis. Starter Kyle McGowin pitched five scoreless innings, surrendering five hits, striking out seven, and walking none. Riley Martin pitched two scoreless relief innings, and Michael Arias pitched the eighth inning, taking the loss after giving up two runs on three hits. Moises Ballesteros had a strong performance at the plate, going 3-for-4.

Double-A Tennessee Smokies Prospects
The Tennessee Smokies defeated the Mississippi Braves 5-2. Chris Kachmar started and earned the win, allowing one run on four hits over five innings. Blake Whitney pitched the ninth and got the save. The Smokies scored four of their five runs in the fifth inning. James Triantos had an RBI single and a double, while Yohendrick Pinango hit a two-run single and stole two bases. Matt Shaw went 3-for-5, scoring one run and driving in one.

The Cubs managed to score three runs in the ninth inning but ultimately fell short with the tying run at the plate. Catcher Ethan Hearn had a two-run single, going 1-for-4, and Felix Stevens went 2-for-4 and scored once.

Low-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans Prospects
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans split a doubleheader with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, losing the first game 5-0 and winning the second game 7-0. Marino Santy started game one and got the loss, while Yenrri Rojas pitched the first five innings of game two and got the win. Vince Reilly retired the side in order in both of the final two innings of game two and got the save.
