Triple-A Iowa Cubs Prospects
The Iowa Cubs lost to the St. Paul Saints 6-5. Starting pitcher Kyle McGowin allowed five runs on seven hits, walked four, and struck out one. Edwin Escobar gave up a home run and ended up with the loss. All five I-Cubs runs were scored via home runs. Second baseman Hayden Cantrelle hit a two-run home run, center fielder Cole Roederer hit a solo home run and left fielder Alexander Canario hit a two-run home run. Catcher Moises Ballesteros had two doubles and scored on Canario’s home run.

Double-A Tennessee Smokies Prospects
The Tennessee Smokies lost 9-3 to the Birmingham Barons. Pitcher Chris Kachmar started and took the loss, giving up four runs on six hits over five innings. Right fielder Christian Franklin had a strong game, going 2-for-3 with a double and a triple, and second baseman James Triantos went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Franklin and Triantos accounted for all of the Smokies hits on Tuesday.

High-A South Bend Cubs Prospects
The South Bend Cubs defeated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 8-4. Ty Johnson performed well, giving up no runs in four innings. First baseman Jonathon Long had a standout game, going 3-for-3 with two walks and a three-run home run. Right fielder Parker Chavers hit a two-run home run and came a double shy of the cycle, adding four RBIs.

Kenyi Perez gave up four runs in relief. Miguel Pabon hit a solo home run, Alfonsin Rosario had two RBI, and Andy Garriola went 2-for-4.
