The Raptors had a brutal 2023-24 NBA season and now will shift their focus to the offseason to improve their roster. Let’s break down the team’s 2024 NBA Draft picks, future selections, and more.
Toronto Raptors 2024 NBA Draft Picks
Despite going 25-57 this past season, the Raptors are out of the lottery thanks to a trade. Check out the team’s picks for 2024.
Raptors Outside of Lottery in 2024
The Raptors earned the number 8 pick in the 2024 Draft Lottery but thanks to the Jokob Poeltl trade in February 2023, the pick now goes to the San Antonio Spurs. It works out nicely for the Spurs who have picks at no. 4 and 8 in the top 10 to add talent around Victor Wembanyama.
The Raptors on the other hand have the no. 19 overall pick and will have to draft well to add to a team that needs a huge boost in talent if it plans to make a playoff run next season.
Raptors Future Draft Selections
The Raptors will have to make plenty of moves in the next few years to get back into the playoffs and contend for a title. Take a look at the team’s upcoming draft picks. They have several of their own picks which will give them room to work in trades if they wish.

Have the Raptors Ever Had the No. 1 Pick?
Since joining the NBA in 1995, the Toronto Raptors have only had the number 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft once. In 2006, the Raptors selected Andrea Bargnani first overall. Bargnani played 7 seasons in Toronto averaging 15.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
He finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting but never made an All-Star team. Bargnani’s best season in Toronto came in 2010-11 when he averaged 21.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Toronto had a stretch of seven seasons in which they reached the playoffs from 2013-20. They won 50+ games in the last 5 years of that run.
