Tatum, Brown Helped Boston Win 2024 NBA Title
The Boston Celtics were finally able to get their 18th championship as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum led the franchise to a 4-1 series win over the Mavericks to end the 2023-24 season. Boston broke its tie with the Lakers to reign as the franchise with the most NBA Titles.
Jaylen Brown was named Finals MVP after averaging 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in the series. It was a balanced attack for Boston as Jayson Tatum scored 22.2 points per game while Jrue Holiday added 14.4 and Derrick White scored 13.8.

The Celtics are the most successful franchise in NBA history. They have won a league-high 18 titles and find themselves in the playoffs almost every season. They have made the playoffs the last 10 seasons and 20 times since 2000.
After winning the 2008 title, the Celtics lost in 2010 to Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Celtics reached the Finals again in 2022 but lost to the Golden State Warriors. This year, the Celtics were finally able to get another title added to the franchise’s trophy case by defeating the Dallas Mavericks.
In the 1980s, the Boston Celtics won three NBA Championships led by Hall of Famer Larry Bird who was the Finals MVP twice. Bird won 3 regular season MVPs with the Celtics and made 10 All-NBA teams. In the 1960s, the Celtics won 9 titles. It was part of a string of 11 championships in 13 years starting in 1957.
