Indiana Pacers Mock Draft: Pacers Add Minnesota SG in 2nd Round

The Indiana Pacers are coming off an Eastern Conference Finals appearance and believe they have a strong enough core to potentially get to the NBA Finals. They don’t own a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft but do have three second-round selections. Check out the latest mock.

Pacers Have Three Picks in the 2nd Round

The Pacers have the no. 36, 49, and 50 picks in the 2024 NBA Draft. They gave up their 2024 first-round pick when trading with the Raptors for Pascal Siakam. Indiana will be looking to add players they can develop over the next few years with their three second-round picks. The trade has worked out for the Pacers so far and they are planning to keep Siakam around to continue the strong duo with Tyrese Haliburton.

  • 2nd Round: No. 36 overall
  • 2nd Round: No. 49 overall
  • 2nd Round: No. 50 overall

Mock: No. 36 – Cam Christie (SG – Minnesota)

(IND could take Cam Christie at no. 36 overall. Photo: Grace Hollars – USA TODAY Sports)

With their first pick, Indiana could snag Minnesota shooting guard Cameron Christie. He’s 6’5″ and can shoot well from three as he was 39% in 2023-24 as a freshman. He has solid scoring instincts running off screens and the dribble so it’s easy to see why NBA teams are going to be interested. Like most players in the 2nd round, he will need some development but he is young and has plenty of upside.

Christie scored 11.3 points per game as a freshman while shooting 39.1% from three and 79.1% from the line. With some development, he could turn into a solid scoring threat from the outside for Indiana.

Mock: No. 49 – Ulrich Chomche (PF – Cameroon)

Chomche is young and very inexperienced but he has a huge upside on the defensive side of the ball. He is 6’10” with a 7’4″ wingspan. Chomche will have to gain a lot more experience before he is ready for an NBA team but his frame might be too much for a team like the Pacers to pass up in the middle of the second round.

Mock: No. 50 – Harrison Ingram (SF – UNC)

Harrison Ingram is a long wing with a 7-foot wingspan who can also shoot the three (39%). He’s a great rebounder as he totaled 8.8 rebounds per game this past season. His tools could easily develop him into a tremendous role player as he checks a lot of the boxes. One of the biggest questions is his free throw percentage of just 62% last year.

Ingram is the no. 44 overall player on the ESPN Big Board.

    Pacers 2023-24 Season Recap

The Pacers exceeded expectations in 2023-24 as they were able to reach the Eastern Conference Finals. Unfortunately, they were swept by the champion Boston Celtics. Indiana beat Milwaukee 4-2 in the first round before knocking out the Knicks 4-3 in the second round.

Tyrese Haliburton was an All-Star and made the All-NBA Third Team. Also, he was the league leader in assists. He was great all year long scoring 20.1 points per game and dishing out 10.9 assists. If he can stay healthy, he looks like a superstar in the making.

The Pacers added Pascal Siakam from the Raptors halfway through the season and it worked out as he scored 21.3 points per game and grabbed 7.8 rebounds. Myles Turner was the third-leading scorer at 17.1 points per game for the team.

Indiana definitely wants to keep Siakam around and reports say he is receiving an extension with the team. That takes care of the team’s top priority for this offseason.
