The rough string of injuries to notable player this afternoon continues, this time with Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo leaving the Raiders-Patriots game with a back injury.
Garoppolo suffered a back injury on a hit he took late in the first half and is doubtful to return. Veteran backup Brian Hoyer is in the game for the Raiders against his old team. Hoyer played for New England for eight seasons (in three different stints).
The Raiders lead the Patriots 13-3 in the third quarter in Vegas. Garoppolo was 14-22 for 162 yards, one touchdown, and one interception before the injury.
According to Heidi Fang, Garoppolo has left the stadium in an ambulance, likely to have more testing done at a local hospital.
This is a developing story and we will provide updates as they become available!
